Anyone running a Heckler trommel?
Hi peeps... I noticed this forum area hasn't been used in a while so thought I'd start up some chat.
Is anyone else here running a Heckler Fabrication 2410V trommel? I've had a Heckler 10" x 10' 4 stage (over under) high banker since 2011 and love it, just picked up one of his trommels, anyone else running one? Let' share tips n tricks.

Nice rig mate.
If we were to use one of those over here in Aust on anything other than the appropriate mining lease we would get a big smack from the Greens, Park Rangers, Dept Of Primary Industries, Grumpy land owners, Cops, Farmers, Pastoralists., Platypus, Red fin, Trout n tadpoles ...But yeah very nice rig. Wish I had one thirty years ago.

There's a reason it's painted green.. lol out of site, out of mind... actually it's on my own property so I'm good.
Here's a video of this actual unit running on a sampling run up on a buddy's claim in Idaho, gold shown at the end.
Thanks

That does not apply here in Victoria, you have to have a permit, environment assessment, Blue would be a better colour with all the BLUE TAPE.

Yeah. Reckon I would have a better chance of getting a permit to place a few crocodiles in Lake Burly griffin than I would to get a permit to run a rig like that over here.

What a crackup, thanks for the giggle...
PS: You're from the ACT, I can think of a few better place to let loose some crocks than in Burly... lol

Heckler Trommel
We have purchased a 2410V (Purchase in February) i know they have a good reputation and build good machines, but like one there user on this forum has discovered once purchased (and manufacture is underway) you rarely hear back from them, the estimated time of 9-12 weeks to manufacture has now gone over the 20 week mark with little to no communication. Has anyone else experienced this? Or if you purchased from them recently how did it go? I an getting a bit concerned and i am considering flying out to check in person. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

We ordered a Heckler trommel (159-V) late January of 2024. As with your experience communication has been minimal and as of today September 7 we still have not received our machine. I understand there have been difficulties with production but the lack of communication is very concerning. I'm new to this forum so am not allowed to PM you at this moment. If you do decide to visit Heckler personally I would like to know. Thanks
