Up in Northern NSW it has been around 28* today, highest locally this summer 39*.
But mind you, we are around 1200m. above sea level, smack on top of the dividing range and on a junction of Westerly or Easterly weather drift. Recently the drift has been from the East which has brought coastal humidity with it.
Our climate is normally of low humidity so any increase is very noticeable.
Interestingly, conversation with local "old timers" (as one wit put it, they live so long around here they ended up having to shoot a bloke to start the cemetery) seems to indicate very little in the way of climate fluctuation over the years. I recently saw rain record charts that went back to 1850, the drought here being not so much worse than ones in the past.

Yeah , I've noticed about half way between Inverell and where you are ,that when i'm  driving thru there over to the coast, a sudden drop in temperature ,enough to wind the window back up any way ,and the same coming back from Casino .I've often blamed that cold air mase coming off Armadale .. Smile ..Yeah a lotta of our weather drift of late has come in from the East too .
There is a very good historical summary written over ten years ago ,by a local historian / detectorist / prospector / where he quotes a mining wardens annual reports ,and from 1897 - 1915 ,in that 18 yr period he wrote that virtually no mining took place , cause for the lack of water .. Neutral ..

Perth doomsayers (7 news/weather) prattle on about the scorchers etc etc, it's summer and we had the hottest day 20 years ago. So much for climate change bull. The spiders are still living in our aircon only disturbed them a couple of times. Today will be one of them.
Hey Michael (Boobook) they opened the cemetery in Perth back in 1829, when they shot a pommy bludger because he wouldn't go out in the midday sun, 112°F. Rolling and Laughing

According to the experts Australia has the highest level of omissions per head which is bringing on the climate change. (25 million pop)
China would out do us just farting with their 3.5 billion population. Q03 Q41 Q20
