Whats the views here, is gold off to the races from here? weighing it against the S&P500 it's way out of ratio historically! And with all the debt around the globe I sure think it's only just starting to fill out the hobbles, or hit the straps.

Predicted gold price will be up 441% in 20 years, if I keep all my gold I should be able by a second hand Ferrari by then.
Then at 80 years of age should be able to pull a few chicky babes whilst doing some blockies

I will stand on my box here! With interest rates the lowest in history due to debt. And in my view, there is zero chance of seeing interest rates return to the average we have seen over the last 50+ years, gold has only one way to go over the next decade, UP! forget daily or even monthly fluctuations look at yearly!

Boy oh boy! Am I glad I got back into detecting. When we "retired" from detecting it was under $50/gram. It has gone up 50% in four years!!! What investment has done that???

I wonder how many gold buyers have shut up shop for a while Dave.
Very much doubt they'll risk buying at 82 bucks/gm ???
I know most buy at 10-15% less for scrappy gold ,would be interesting to hear from a gold buyer.

well the only good thing is gold it's got wings  $2657 in Aussie dollars, or nearly $85.5 per gram  

Well in just about one month the price per gram has gone from $85.50/gram to around $88.30 odd per gram

I made the call and sold 5 ozs at $2640 an oz I'll remain blissfully happy if i don't look up the gold price again cheers Pete.
