Can I use a 12v dryblower with only a "miners right" in the west?

Your miners right for WA does say hand held tools including a metal detector, I don't see anything about a dryblower unless you have a lease or are on a lease with permission that has a POW (Program of works) in place.

Bloody bureaucratic corpocratic Governments, mining companies can dig monstrous bloody holes, pollute underground waters, etc and they stop me from using a windshield wiper motor on a primitive back yard contraption. I hope the powers that be go to hell in a hand-basket!Mad

The point you raise is a common one.....companies can dig big holes because they pay for the privillage. Put your hands in your own pockets, get a lease and you can use your dryblower all you like.

I don't understand WA laws but I wish you luck and you sure would need deep pockets here in SA to get a lease! As I said it is a bureaucratic corpocratic system that does not look after the interest of its people!

Hmmm, on the whole WA laws for prospecting (the small guys) like you and I have the best system in Australia, for less than $500 you can get 10ha lease of your own and have it through the system in less than a year in most cases.

And for a tiny less than $30 per year keep this 10ha lease for 4 years get a POW (program of works) which at this stage cost nothing, you can use a dry blower bigger than a 12v model, use a dozer or excavator to push and detect etc etc, and of course you will need to rehab the area you disturb.

Nowhere else in Australia can you get a lease for that amount and in that amount of time.

cheers dave

Razz .. Razz .. Razz I hear you m8 ,I went thru this maddening experience several years back up here in nrthn NSW ,all I wanted to do was basically dig some costeans and holes over a small area with a backhoe and on private property & with zero vegetation destruction   ,but the greatest problem I found was all the relevant '' AUTHORITIES '' that I had to go thru ,and the greatest reluctance to help me once they found out what I wanted to do Evil or Very Mad ie ,you could never get the same person on the phone twice ,and getting back to you after leaving messages ,that never happened .its as thou they used to hide from me every time i'd ring Razz So about a fraction of the way thru this process I gave up ,deciding then unless I had about a spare $100grand plus and a team of office management ,it wasn't worth it .
Don't get me wrong thou I fully support the environmental process involved ,even when it does incur further cost' .But  It was this massive reluctance of the  '' BUREACRATIC AUTHORITIES '' in any shape or form to assist me thru the process Evil or Very Mad
