Re: Off Topic Bitcoin .
Anybody game enough to try and predict the price of Bitcoin in 12 months time ?
I will stick my neck out and say AUD$50,000 .
I do not have any spare money to buy some . My idea would be to buy ,say $10,000 worth , if it went up in value to $15.000 . Then sell $5,000 worth and move that back to your bank a/c . Let it go up to $15,000 again and again sell $5,000 worth . Your investment in Bitcoin will only be your profit , not your hard earned .

Hey Mike re (I wish it was me ! I always had faith in Bitcoin , money makes money . I do not have any . OAP . Full stop !)
I try not to think about shoulda, woulda, coulda about in the 70's a large house and land going from one street and backing onto another street ie very very large block, 1 and 1/2 blocks from the beach at Glenelg SA that I thought about buying for $15,000, but I had to sell my house ( worth about $12k) in an adjacent suburb first, now worth over $3m.

I could have done the same with houses . I had paid off my unit but I would have had to take out another mortgage . Decided against it .

Re: Off Topic Bitcoin .
A few years ago I was interested in some modest speculation but could never find what looked like a trustworthy site to use as a dealer. It seems the road to Bitcoin wealth is studded with markers by people who have been scammed. Some investing seriously with apparent profit only to find their access website suddenly disappeared.

Fellas, this is why I say, if life has been kind to you, be content with what you have, rather than waking up one morning & finding that you have nothing left at all.
If one knew what were going to happen, each day before it happens, one would then be capable of ruling this world no? This is why man has not been given such a gift.
Cheers Kon.

How do you cash in a bitcoin?
How much tax would you pay on a cashed in 50,000 dollar bitcoin if you were retired on a 17,000 dollar per year pension, owned your own home and a busted up fairlane.
