G'day Jim & welcome to the forum.
You'll have to be patient here Jim, for Dave's out swinging/testing coils out up in WA & could be out of range. Only a matter of time before he reads your post & gets back to you with an answer.
Cheers Kon.

Re: X-Coils for 7000
Thanks Kon, I have heard of a couple of people through a friend of mine, who are killing it at their old patches with these coils in the Pilbara. It almost feels like next level stuff. I am very excited at the prospect of giving them a go, cheers

G'day again Jim, yes your right, next level is very close to the mark, and in some ways it's good that the coils are not in big numbers out there yet, as there getting good gold.

Re: X-Coils for 7000
A very small video from today out detecting, a specie at about the 16" to 18" deep and it was a nice signal from the start, you know the ones you like to hear, that just keep getting better and better. The video is short because of limited data for uploads but you will get the idea, and it was a very windy day as well, as the cold change that has just came through was keeping it nice and cool and the annoying flies at bay.
Coil used was the 17"x12" spiral X-Coil running Diff/Highyeild and sensitivith 16, semi auto GB, and ground smoothing OFF, I did change settings to Diff/Gen and left the other setting the same, and if anything a slightly better, or louder target signal, but hey the first settings Diff/HY stopped me in the first place.
It turned out that signal was a 38g specie with about 22g of gold inside,
cheers dave

Nice find. Keeps adding to the tally. The coil looks small in that hole, at least the ground does not look that hard to dig.

Re: X-Coils for 7000
Thanks Wally (travelergold) it was a fairly big hole and about 18" deep to the very spot the specie came out from. Your wrong though about the hardness of the hole to dig. The first 6 or 8" was ok and took only a few minutes then the last 10 or 12" took another hour.
Big pick and crowbar job. It was had packed like concrete with quartz rocks and ironstone rocks the size of apples all packed in and like cemented, had to find the edges of the rocks and chip and scrape away between them and remove them one by one, till we got to the the one making the noise.
cheers dave

Re: X-Coils for 7000
Just checked out the X Coils website.
If the coils do not have the chip integrated with the lead as the Minelab coils do, why are they $1500.00?
A minelab coil for the Z is the same price and has the chip in the lead, that is what makes it so expensive.
Is it the exchange rate? The coils for the GPX series are more expensive as well but that could be because of the exchange rate. Seems like a huge discrepancy to me, but if you're willing to pay that much then who am I to tell you otherwise.
Regards Axtyr.

X Coils for 7000
My X coil 10" is for sale. Still in excellent condition. Comes with the 7000 lower shaft fitted for quicker coil swaps. Also spare new coil cover. The coil and shaft cost me $1565. Selling for $1250.

Re: X-Coils for 7000
Geez, why are you getting rid of your coil? Just using larger ones? I have found my 10 inch coil is brilliant. Using it more than the other xcoils at the moment in scrubby areas. But when on open ground the 10 inch is then shelved. Just love them.

Re: X-Coils for 7000
G'day gents.
Fellas, this section is for the discussion on the working performance of coils & any other details relating to such, not a place for debating price of coils, nor the appropriate section for advertising/selling of such. The selling of coil/s, can be discussed in detail, when advertised in the appropriate thread, under the "Items Wanted/For Sale" section. My apologies for any inconvenience here, but them there are the rules of this forum.
Cheers Kon.

X Coils for 7000
Sorry Kon. I didn't know that rule. I had it in the for sale section, but didn't get any queries about it, so thought I might as well put it in the X coil section.
