Advice on coils
i bought a 4000 about a month ago and have been using the DD coil. I'm looking at getting a smaller sized mono coil because the area i'll be looking in is very heavily vegetated with heaps of rocks and stuff to try and get around, not much ground noise. I've been looking at the coiltek 10x5, 12x9 platypus and the commander 8" all pretty equally priced. not sure whether to go for a round or elip coil. any advice would really be appreciated

Re: Advice on coils
hi jack, i have a gpx 4000 and running a 8" comm mono. bit noize but you can calm them down. i picked a .1 gramer up at 10 inch deep and it was very clear befor i started to dig. i have the settings on a topic somewhere on this forum if you wonted to try them with an 8"...the smallest bit i found was a .08 gram about 1 half 2 inches deep and that was clear as well. go an 8" you'll love it.

Re: Advice on coils
12" elip and the 14x7 elip ADV mono's from Nugget finder will go well on your 4000.
