APLA now has a Facebook page

APLA now has a Facebook page. We're still a bit rough with the graphics but we have experts working on that. I'm no big fan of social media but we need FB to get our message, news alerts and general interest comments out faster than we can do with our quarterly publication. Some of you may be disappointed with the FB site as we will be steering it more towards the serious matters that face detectorists and professional prospectors rather than "just another metal detecting and nugget show" site.

But come and have a look, join up. If nothing else you'll be able to see what we do and for members, you may get some idea where your membership fees are being spent. Here's the link:

Good work to both Les and Tony for getting this up and running, I hope there are plenty of people out there that appreciate all the hard work and long hours that go into running APLA, and now keeping the facebook page upto date for instant info when a message needs to get out quickly about something.
