Is there gold in the oceans?
Great project for someone, extracting the tonnes of gold from the ocean. ♫By the year 2525.♫ you may have a gram. :-)

I've read your article and I found this information very interesting! I didn't even think about it.Nightjar wrote:Great project for someone, extracting the tonnes of gold from the ocean. ♫By the year 2525.♫ you may have a gram. :-)

Re: Is there gold in the oceans?
I agree with you. There is not so much gold but it's possible to find it there.Jackie wrote:I think yes, but not many and it's very tought to find it there.

Re: Is there gold in the oceans?
Is there gold in the worlds oceans? you bet there is.
It is estimated that natural microscopic gold, suspended or floating in ocean waters, to be around the 20 million tons troy in weight, as compared to what has been mined so far on land (a little bellow the 200,000 tons)
Even with current processing/extracting gold from sea water technology, separating the gold from ocean waters is the major draw back & a very expensive draw back at that, for meagre returns. Considering gold content in one cubic meter of sea water, goes parts per "trillion" (meaning processing billions upon billions of cubic meters of sea water, to eventually see, an accumulated gram of gold) unlike grams, or part there of gold content, per cubic meter of soil
Cheers Kon.

Re: Is there gold in the oceans?
I'd have to agree.
It stands to reason that that if the world is 2/3rds ocean well there should be the same in gold in it.
Simple thinking sorry but that my answer.
