BEST COIL FOR DEEP GOLD GPX5000

Hi All
I have found lots of small gold with my GPX5000 and I only found out recently that my setting Special / Fine Gold may have removed the deeper gold because of the setting. I note the setting on You tube test GPX5000 V Garrett, the GPX5000 lost the deep gold on the Special / Fine Gold settings.

What is the best coil for deep gold for the 5000?

I am heading out in a weeks time and want to give myself the best chance for deep gold

Reading the other post on GPX5000 settings, sounds like others are on Special / Fine Gold settings - anyone finding big gold on these setting - deep?

Here's a nugget found by my brother.
using the Gpx5000 with the 14 inch coiltek elite round coil.
fine gold settings, and rx gain 17 stabilizer at 13
he found this at roughly a good 2 foot down..

618 grams

That's a very nice nugget alright I've even had the pleasure of holding it, fantastic.

But hey Jen I don't understand the settings, "fine gold settings, and normal rx gain 17 stabilizer at 13" the normal part has me confused. the rest I understand.

To be in FINE GOLD, you have to be in Special on the front end is what you are saying Dave.
Jen has just overlooked that on this occasion.  cheers Pete.
