Hi All, I'm relatively new to detecting around the Mackay area & am wondering where would be a could location to start the hunt? I'm using a Minelab Excalibur. Also keen to know if there are any clubs in the area?

Howdy ,

If you are looking to prospect for Gold anywhere in Qld , You need To buy a fossicking licence

The closest realistic chance to find some & learn about it is probably going to the Clermont area .
