Hey guys and girls. I have just ventured into the hobby of detecting and have purchased my first beginners detector being an X-Terra 705, low end I know but slow and steady wins the race right.
So I live out at Hope Vale, north-west of Cooktown, and I'm wondering if there are any places nearby that I can go and try my luck. I understand that Native Title Land is a no go area?

Well FFS
living in Forsayth, there's a golden opportunity missed (pardon the pun) if I ever heard of one, the place is literally surrounded by gold country, I would suggest if you made any contacts out that way you follow up on them, much gold to be found out that way....possibly one of the last remaining untapped detectable reserves left, good luck out there
.
