Only required if your doing a lot of gully walls, with the GPZed. Softens weight on index finger when lifting detector horizontally. And after 6 hours on gully walls, you really do feel the weight on your finger! Takes 5 minutes to make, what have you got to lose? (Love that Velcro)

When detecting gully walls I adjust bungee and use both hands.

You can use as many hands and bungees as you like Redfin, but your index finger on the hand that holds the handle still gets squashed up against the display screen box. That's one heavy bugger coil. And after 5 or 6 hours you can really feel it.
P.S. Heard a confirmed rumour that the 20" coil coming out soon, will be made out of very light carbon and will add only another $700 to the new coil compared to one made of plastic. That, and the $1650 for the non production plastic version that we already know about, brings us to a total of $2350 for the new 20" coil. Very reasonably priced, considering the power and the depth it's going to give us.

I don't hold the handle, I have my right hand under the main housing near the battery and the other underneath the handle.

Yeah I do that too when me finger has had enough of being squashed. But only the right hand, the left hand is still used to control the swing arm.
