We're from the far west coast of south australia. Nowhere near goldfields. I bought my  husband a GPX 5000 recently, in the hope that it would encourage him to not work so hard and get away on holidays. I probably prefer to read about gold, rocks and fossils than dig holes, but then we haven't looked for gold yet so haven't yet been bitten by "the bug" that seems to have been caught by many of your members. Hoping to get out there soon to have a go. Lots of research to do. I enjoy reading the forum - lots of characters out there!

Welcome to the forum. Auriferous

One good thing about detecting
is getting out into the bush, away from the stress's of life.

Once your Hubby finds his first piece of gold, or any other great find, he will be hooked Very Happy

Looking forward to hearing of your adventures..

Good luck

Yes, Kalgoorlie and surrounds might be on our list of destinations. Maybe Tarcoola? Just seems like limestone and granite in our area. Looking forward to getting away bounce
Thanks for the welcome! Very Happy
