best coil for 17000 xt.

Hey there. Garrett from Maine here.what's the best coil for the minelab 17000 xt. Just got one off ebay. Plane on going along a river that goes out to the ocean. Won't be going into the water. Don't think there's much gold in Maine so im thinking old coins. Any ideas what else would work. Thanks Garrett

Mate the 17000 was released in the early 90's.
I think most blokes have moved on.
Be patient till you jog someones memory.

    The standard 8 inch gold search dd coil the XT comes out with,is Ideal for coins/relics found in parks or on beach sands(less the wet) where you'll find the coil to play up,as in erratic noisy behaviour,due to the wet salt alkali. Its after-market counter part the 10x5 blue elliptical Goldsearch DD coil is an excellent all rounder on the gold fields when used in conjunction with 32KHz. Keeping in mind,like others have stated,the XT series has all but had its use by date.

hi garret mine came with an 8"coil also I had a 11"DD, and the large 15"WOT coil, but any coil made for the eureka gold will work just on the 17000

could the old Garrett deep seekers & ground hogs return
they might shut down the gym's for those who want to get exercise
I wish you luck with the XT ,although they did find gold if at the right location & depth
