Could anyone tell me if there is a lot of advantage using a rooster booster on the 5000 except for a louder response, Cheers Very Happy

Hi NF, I'm still experimenting with a B&Z booster on my 4500 so I am still undecided, this topic has come up a number of times and been discussed at length, check out the search for some different opinions and experiences with boosters.

I have a Rooster Booster on my 45. Not convinced that it helps with faint targets, but I do appreciate the increase in volume, I thinks it's worth it for that alone, and if it does do what it claims, even better.

Hi NF,
I run my 5k mostly on deep and boost audio when I can and have no problems.
It's only when you go away from these settings that it dulls the sound down a bit.
On these occasions an external booster would be an advantage I'm sure.
I have been thinking of getting one myself.

Being up in the Territory where it gets hot n sweaty I prefer to use the lighter foam headphones .. a Nugget Booster comes in handy when ur brushing your coil thru dry leaf matter or for those windy days ...
