S.A. Newbie
Hi Everyone,
just joined the site a couple of weeks ago been prospecting for a little over a year and half now or you could say fossicking in S.A.
went out this morning to Mount Crawford got very wet
cleaned up some shot guns shells and trash for other people not to find
been to echunga a couple of times also but havent found that elusive Gold Yet?
starting to wonder if these areas have been thrashed out
the gold fever has been running even stronger in my blood ever since i won a GPX 5000 by subscribing to Australian Gold Gem and Treasure Magazine was absolutely stoked when i got the phonecall
well nice to finally put a post up love reading everyones Gold finds and topic hopefully the next post will be of some yellow stuff
goodluck

Re: S.A. Newbie
G'day Pott00 & welcome to the forum
Congrats on winning the GPX5000 in the GGT mag thats a real good prize and I bet it made ya day, thats as good as finding 4ozs of gold anyhow so it's a good kick start.
It should not take very long to snag a few bits of yellow with that machine, espically if you can get a bit of help setting up the machine correctly.
Good luck out there, but you should'nt need it, or maybe you do, you may have used up a bit of luck winning that detector.
cheers dave

Re: S.A. Newbie
Welcome, I am fairly new myself. In regards to Mt Crawford etc.. are these site freely available to search or does one need a permit?

Re: S.A. Newbie
Hey Astroman,
yeah if you want to go fossicking in Mount Crawford you need to go to the information centre and pay either $2 a day for access to fossick or $30 dollars a year
im pretty sure you can go anytime you like except for total fire ban days
Echunga is free
