New and in the NT

Hello all,

I recently tried propecting with my father over christmas in the golden triangle on a trip home and had an absolute blast. Upon returning to the Northern Territory I have begun the aquisition of my own equipment, but am no stuck on I guess the most crucial issue where do I go.

I am no trying to cut anyones grass on their spots just after direction on what I need to do to go prospecting in the Northern Territory in the top end. I have contacted dept. of energy and minerals and found them to be of little to no help at all not breaking down the information in simpleton terms to understand.

Could someone please if possible give some advice on the requirements I am needed to meet to go fossiking and a general direction on where to start?

Anywhere between Bridge Creek and Pine Creek for starters ...and mostly on the eastern side of the Hwy going south after the HOwley range.
