Waanyarra Free Campground

Waanyarra campground is very similar to Paddys Ranges campground but seems to have less grass cover. The turn off is about 10 km east of Dunolly on the Bridgewater-Dunolly Rd and although it is signposted, it is quite easy to overshoot when travelling at the 100kph speed limit. The campground is situated a further 1.4 km on a dirt track that is quite suitable for 2wd vehicles and caravans. The twin toilets are generally quite clean although the tank water collected from their roof seems to be tainted from the trees that grow above it. This site provides good access to Tarnagulla, Dunolly and of course Waanyarra goldfields. The closest phone reception is at Dunolly. Dogs are permitted. Some picnic tables are available.
