when i found this piece it was encased in iron stone. there was only a tiny piece of gold visible on one end of it. i`ve had it sitting in acid since i found it. for its size it is very light. as is , it weighs 4.4 grams

yeh , the thought never occured to me when i found it. i got another one last week that i can`t see any gold in but from the signal its giving off i`m guessing there is about 1 gram of gold. i took a photo of that one before i put it in the acid

G'day Dave, Yeah it's pretty hard to get excited about photographing iron stone, You just never know how the nuggies are going to turn out. Looking forward to seeing how this next one comes out

i don`t know the name of the acid i used but it is similar to Ali Brite
