Opium pipes

At last after many years I found my first opium pipe saddle today (other finds for the day included an opium tin lid and a small size chinese token, and a 3.6g nugget). I'm wondering how rare of a find these saddles are - have many on this forum found one?

I'm absolutely stoked as I've always found chinese relics of particular interest. Will have to annoy some bottle diggers for a pipe bowl now

Hey Cal,Nice find and a good nugget as well.
Havent heard of too many people finding Opium pipes before.
Did some research on them a while back and from what I can tell,they are mostly Brass and well decorated.
I found this Chinese Tobacco pipe on a Mullock heap a few years ago.
