Over lay with tengraphs and google earth

Hi all ,
Just a question on over lays useing both tengraphs and google earth , or Ozexplorer. Dose any one have and data on this. And if so how to apply.. Do rember reading it some place BUT....where ..Thanks Bob..

you can now download the google earth file from the mines dept showing all lease bounderies for tengraph,
http://mapserver.doir.wa.gov.au/datacentre/
under mineral information a drop doown box will apear with current tenements and other files, it is there where you have a choice on what
data file you wish to download.

I must be doing something wrong, it just takes me to the license agreement form, click on agree and then nothing happens after the form closes javascript:downloadit('./download/mineral_inf/tenements_kml.zip');

i am not sure what is going on there, i have just tried it myself and after i click agree the download box comes up asking where to download it to, maybe somewhere in you interent settings it is not allowing downloads to start automaticly?
is there a free file sharing site about, that i can uplaod my files to, so everyone can download them from there?

I'm sorry to ask this question, but please can someone explain in simple steps how do I attach to Google Earth and open the file I downloaded from the 4Shared.com site as above.
Also is it possible to import that Image from Google (with the Tengraph details) into Ozi-explorer.
I'm having a serious grey moment

You will need to upzip it, (make sure you know where it is when upzipped) then just doubble click on the file called Tenements_Live KMZ file and it opens up Google Earth with them all displayed. There is also one called Tenements_Pending KMZ file just do the same with this one.

You will need to save them in google earth before you close google earth if you want to use them again quickly, other wise you will need to do the same all over again.

I do exactly as described but the Google earth give an error message and shuts down.


I can do other overlays but not theses. Please help

Open Google earth and check for any update's if not then just reinstall it again.

I have closed every thing but Google.
Then load overlay of Vic crown land, no problems, then tru=ied WA tenegrah or whatever its called and google errors again

Nope, download it, then still got same error.

I have just deleted and uninstalled every Google Earth file on my PC, then re downloaded it. Then tried your latest file and still got error???

Davegold has asked you to make sure you have unziped it.

Have you done that once you downloaded it as they are zip:file's and if you just tryed to open it in google you will get a error.

I Unzipped this
EXPLORATION_LICENCE_Pendind=3890.KML

It worked, white marks all over WA

Then done the same with this
EXPLORATION LICENCE Live =5050.KML

got the error messge then earth closes down

once you click inside the white line's you will see all the details.

sounds like the error is on the loading if some are good and others not.

Just check this

ok, my options were exactly the same as yours

But on the other files i get the errors and it closes,

in layers untick them all may as well try everything.

I unticked every thing, blank map.
Then tried to open exploration pending, all ok

so unticked that, tried to open wa tenements granted...got errors and closed down


I think I will forget about it,

Is it just Gypsy Download that has the error or my one's as well.

Make a new folder and redownload them all and tell us which is not working.
