Hi Big fella, Quick fix, trade it in. What a Face With all the new electronic gear now running / controlling vehicles it becomes a real nightmare when things go wrong, and inevitably they will. When you are in the middle of no where. Hope some one can help you.

Bring back the good old days! I'd say you won't have much option, take it to a Kia dealer! I wouldn't go to any joe blow, lots of $$ can be spent with no outcome?
Just an idea, have you tried holding the remote to your mobile phone while it is on! Don't laugh, it increases remote to car 3 fold in distance.
Cheers Chris.

Hi Tom
Had one of these with a similar issue, the ignition is enabled in the ecu via a relay on the printed circuit board difficult job.Best to replace the remote or they can be fixed and yes putting the remote to your temple extends the distance by a fair amount I,ve tested it.
