Dunno m8, they are the same as get put on house roofs and connect to a grid tie inverter.

1.5kw systems = 8 panels on the roof connected in series = 1520w and still 5.5amps = almost 360 volts at the inverter.

Look at the Imax value and the SC value.?
Is this right given those voltages scratch

I think I just learnt about how they test the shock proof value of solar panels ...

"Allowable Hail Load - Steel ball falls down from 1M height"

Hmmm ... You learn something new everyday.

I don't know wether it right or not but its the same as the spec's on the back of the panels that went on the roof of our house. Is it something to do with them being 45volt panels instead of the usual 12volt panels that we go camping with.

A 80watt 12 volt panel is 4.4volts so are you asking why a 190watt 45volt panel is only 5.5volts.

cheers dave

I always thought the SC reading was higher than the load reading? it could be because the voltage is higher.?

yet on 24v & 12v panels the reading is always higher. Hoping im right or i may have to eat humble pie on this one. Laughing

Regardless of the specs, the turd gave me the maker and model number for my research purposes then claimed once i showed him the specs from my research , that both were wrong. Yet the maker is mentioned on his listing and he gave me the model number which lead me to the maker on his listing anyway. (different specs)
If he cant give you this information, then who 's going to warrant the panels for the duration of the warranty?....him?

Oh look!!.....a flying pig Shocked

Hi All, whenever you see a PV panel with a Max voltage of 40V+ it is a 24V panel, you can use these when camping all you have to make sure is you buy a charge controller that is 12/24V. A 12V panel is actually 17V and 34V max. If they weren't those voltages they would not charge a 12V battery. Easy to work out the power : Volts x Amps (those panels 36.6V x 5.19A = 189.954 Watts). I am involved in solar so they seem okay... Hope this helps...

Yeah Ismael you cant argue with the maths, but his listing was worth quizzing.
He gave me the model number of the panels and as can be seen from the listing, the company is Rich Solar, which is what he also said. So i googled them up and found the panels with the model number, which is RS-M190 and these are the specs from the panel. Link

Model Type RS-M190
Peak Power ( Pmax ) 190Wp
Weight 19.0kg
Dimension 1340×1058×50mm
Maximum Power Voltage ( Vmp ) 39.50V
Maximum Power Current ( Imp ) 4.81A
Open Circuit Voltage ( Voc ) 49.40V
Short Circuit Current ( Isc ) 5.12A
Maximum System Voltage DC1000V
Temp. Coeff. Of Isc ( TK Isc ) 0.058%/ºC
Temp. Coeff. Of Voc ( TK Voc ) -0.367%/ºC
Temp. Coeff. Of Pmax ( TK Pmax ) -0.485%/ºC
Normal Operating Cell Temperature 44.4±2ºC
STC: 1000W/ M² solar irradiance, 1.5Air Mass, and cell temperature of 25ºC
He then claimed that it was not the model number and that was not the company after i sent him my findings??? scratch
If you also look at any other listing on ebay of a 24v panel, none i could find gave an Imp reading higher then the SC reading.
It may all work out in the end, but what i have found over the last few weeks with many of these sellers is, your 25yr warranty is worthless. Most of them i have asked these questions of...who is the manufacture, and what is the model number of...dont know. 100% feedback or not, i even went to the trouble of contacting some of the buyers of panels for their findings. Rolling Eyes
If they cant give you the make & model, move on, there not worth it as there is hundreds of different manufactures making panels, lets face it, its a big money market so all the ghetto pimps world wide have their hand in the solar pie.

The guy in the listing may be selling a good panel, but after speaking with him, he wont be getting my coin.

Dont know what you were looking at but it was incorrect.
I have brought panels from this mob they were the ONLY ones that i could cross reference info, their build quailty it good with quick connect fittings good quailty terminal covers only thing that let them down was the hinges and clips and the carry bay was useless (binned it).
As for coin best i spent with this mob, hmmmmmmmmmmmm pie.
Regards

PS note that this panel is for for residential
and small commercial installation, not camping its noted on the manufactor site Wink

Dont know what you were looking at but it was incorrect.
How is it incorrect when the panel your linking to is not the same as the one he is advertising?
All three panels are different if you look close at the specs.

Iv spent some time tossing emails with this guy to know better than to spend coin on him.
But like i said, his panels may well be a good product, even if the hinges, clips and carry bag let them down. Laughing

Have another look youl see the panel is identical to the spec he has posted, RS-M190 is what you posted and RS-M190 is what i typed in.
You will see 2 models with the same numbers BUT one is a 80 cell the other a 72 cell, have a look and youl see its quite clearly marked on the manufactures site.
Now the seller states 72 cells hence it is the one i posted.
The site you got your info is the one that is incorrect it isnt even the companys site but a trade link (made in china.com)

Now now narrawa no changing your tune now, you naughty boy.
You quoted the above figures and as i said i did find 2 panels marked as RS-M190 one was what you quoted and one was what the ebay seller quoted
To answer your question he has swaped over the short circuit and max volt figures as well as the current ones, not a hanging offence well now here anyway could be different in China and your place but Wink .
Heres that link you wanted.
http://richsolar.net/documenti/monocrystalline_180-200.pdf
I recon the info you found online was correct BUT was for the previous RS-M190 panel judging by those figures as i said the manufactures site (before my previous link changed scratch ) stated 2 RS-M190 panels.
As i posted i have brought one form this mob and found their panels to be good quailty let down by cheap hinges and latches (i posted this on AGP a while ago). However if you want to vent ya splean do it with this mob.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/250-Watts-MASSIVE-POWER-BEST-Solar-Panel-RRP-3000-/180687583929?pt=AU_Solar&hash=item2a11d1bab9
Thieves with misleading info.... i can say this from experiance avoid this mob like the plauge.
Pics of mine
Ebay solar panels DSC00702
Ebay solar panels DSC00703
As for warrenty it only a sweetner to make you feel good youl never keep them that long as they loss efficiency ( as quoted on all spec sheets) so unless it goes bang in the first year or start up it should be good forever.
Now about that pie................... Smile Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

No change of tune, the answer i was after, i put up, not my fault you missed it first time round as many would.. Laughing

Not a hanging offense, affraid gee i know a few that bought panels marked xWatts but once tested got much less. My word its a hanging offense because their error cost you money!!

Yes you found the right panel they were advertising, and was clearly marked as a 190w panel and its Imax and SC were marked correctly unlike the listing. pie to you Laughing And not available when i looked as you said and then went missing again as you found out.
Regardless of the links John, the grub refuses to alter the listing which is misleading, be it in the favor of the buyer or not. I got abused for pointing it out to him.
36.6x5.19=189.954
36.6x5.53=202.398
Like i said, he may have a good product going, but i wont buy from him now.
Im over it.

Forgetting all the pies, any panel above 22v will give you trouble finding regs ect.for camping use. At 22v most Reg.(Normall 12v units) shut down on a hot day as they go into overvoltage.I have a mixture of Australian 17v and chinese 22v on my van (9 panels) and went through 3 regs before i settled on one that didn't overload in summer. There are 24volt units and step down convertors but why bother, more to go wrong in the bush. Basically the lower voltage units(17v.) supply more amps to your battery than the same size (in watts) higher voltage panel.
For those of you who like maths devide an 80watt BP panel by 17v the answer is how many amps into your battery
Then try a chinese panel 80W devided by 22v.
The answer should be more than 1 amp extra going into your battery from the same size 80w BP panel.
