Here is a good one that has not had a going over...unless they were using a geiger counter.

The prohibited military area of Woomera, South Australia, is to be opened up for mining. 127,000 square KMs.

This apprentice would love to tag a long if a master is organising a trip. Not sure when it all opens up though. I presume it must be all crown land.

There's going to be whips?? Twisted Evil Count me in!, Laughing I had an uncle out there in the 60s and 70s when I was just a brat and I always wanted to go take a look at the Woomera Rocket Range, even if theres not much gold I suspect there must be some trash out there worth recovering.

I actually put in a submission on behalf of the detectorists of Australia after I had read the above mentioned article on the Govt website. Yes! I did receive a reply to my submission ... but of course, it was the usual 'thank you and we'll get back to you' kind of thing.

At least they know we're watching!
