Metal Detecting Mayhem!

Hello Fellow Nuggeteers!

Very new to metal detecting and prospecting. I have a new Garret AT Max which I have taken relic hunting on an old military site. Very exciting find of old bolts and an old tube of Black Berry Jam- not sure if its 1940's vintage but it is in my finds jar so that makes it legit !

I want to try some nugget hunting with the AT and have a site in mind- does anyone know anything about Butlers Hope Mine?

I have since found out that the land on which the mine was is owned by a developer...so little to none chance of being given permission to have a fossick

Think what the possibilities are though. They scrape and dig. You detect on weekends!!! If only.

Maybe I should buy a house block in the new estate !
