Hi everyone looking forward to reading heaps on this site I am from Bathurst area NSW and just purchased a new GPX 45000 and learning about this machine , the last detectors I had was minelab dual ace, and gt16000 so that's a while back maybe 28 years.

Welcome to the forum Rob

You have purchased a very good Minelab series PI detector, with an abundance of coil variety available for it today. Research & ground time is what its all about now. Best of luck to you. Plenty of knowledgeable members here, to help you with any questions.
I myself started off with an FT 1600 but it was the XT 1700 that started off the gold rush for me.

Cheers Kon. T25

Welcome Rob,
Contracted "gold fever" back in the 80's with the then new Garrett Deepseeker.
Here is just one of many posts involving one of the best detectors in Minelab range. - GPX-4500
