Conglomerate Gravels

I like the look of the Conglomerate gravels in the layers in this photo.  From a WA trip a couple of years ago. Very Happy

Thanks Gary, yes it's a good photo mate. I must give Veronica credit for taking it though, as I was just doing the driving and as I had to slow right down to get through the creek she got a great shot. Very Happy

Great pic Veronica, Dave must have been taking it nice and steady.
Is that in the region of your leases Dave?
If you Google....Darlot - King.indd - CRC LEME the author, J D King presents a very interesting paper on a theory of the SW geological erosion from the original Darlot topo structure.
I read this some time ago when researching a question "where did the goanna patch gold originate?"
To my reading, that paper provides some good answers.

Thanks Mike, I have just now downloaded that paper and will be having a read of it. Yes it is on the way in and out from one of our leases, maybe 10kms from it.

Hi Dave, we have come across a few creek side exposure like that but unfortunately we couldn't find any gold there. Looks darned good, though.
