Cool, very interested in overall performance. Will it detect grain size gold, and how well does it do on gram size to depth. Let us know, thanks.

14x9 EVO NUGGET FINDER Dscn0310
just gave the 9x14 EVO a swing on a new 4500 it surprised me how quiet and stable it was ,found it great for spots where there are lots of grass tusks also managed to run the audio in boost and it behaved good on the ground I was working 1 piece of gold and a few shot pellets the gold was at about 1 to 2 inches regards john Razz

Had the 14x9 evo out for a swing earlier today did on alter any settings I had the 15 evo on last
I was at Amherst started detecting the first thing I noticed was how quiet this coil runs extremely quiet so In the audio I put it in boost and it handled the conditions great managed to pick up 2 pieces of gold one was at 6 inches I did not weigh them but most likely 0.7 for the 2 one was larger than the other .I think around surfacing in scrubby ground and if you want a light coil this coil will do ,I was using it on a new 4500 regards john:D

I just wish the Nugget Finder Evo 14x9 was available for sale here in the states, needing one soon, headed detecting for a week after 20th of this month.

Update, I got my NF Evo 14x9 last monday, really like the size of it and construction is top notch, looking forward to using it next monday, headed on a day trip in the Sierras.

More updates, finally got to run my new 14x9 seriously for several hours one day this week, no gold but wow, it could detect my 2 grain test chip nugget out to 2" easily in hot soil, and I found numerous trash targets up to 10" deep .22 short lead, large shot, etc. This is my new go to coil for most hunting conditions.

I just got back from 4 days detecting at Rye Patch Nevada, found a .55 gram porous nugget at 8" deep with the 14x9 Evolution on my gpx4500. I am sold on this coil, it stays on my machine most the time now.

Good to hear goldsniper....been tossing either a 12" Evo or the 14x9 for all around and working old patches for small gold at depth. Used a borrowed 12" Evo and was impressed....of course need a good deep target coil also. may get the 15" Evo for that.....

Hi Barry
The new Evo is not as sensitive on the edges so you can easily miss targets against trees etc.It is extremely sensitive towards the centre. You may find it difficult to pinpoint on small targets as you can't use the edge.It will pick up more hot rocks so you have to back off the Rx.It does have extra depth on very small gold over the advantage.

After using this coil (14x9Evo) for the last week I can only praise its ability for small gold at depth.I'm quite astonished at the depth we are getting on the 0.5g pieces which it seems to love, generally around 8-9".It fits into tight situations well too and being thin slides under things well.
I do prefer the 14"elite as my coil of choice and there are some drawbacks with the 14x9 but its still one of the best flat wound designs we've tried and very stable and strong design. The fact that a lot of the remaining gold now is now deep and small makes this a good choice as well as being a light coil to use all day.

Post  deutran Thu Aug 03, 2017 10:48 pm

After another 4 weeks we have 6.5g of nuggets under 0.75g found by the 14x9 over ground covered with the 14"Elites that we presumed cleaned up.Another 3 nuggets of around 1g each were found on an old patch in places only the elliptical shape could fit into.
The Elites still found more in total weight and size over the same period. It is becoming very obvious the benefits of the Evo coil in areas of smallish gold under the 0.75g size.
I must add though during those 4 weeks the Evo failed to find anything of size deep or shallow.I will post more info in a month or 2.
