Howdy,

Have recently had to sell my Minelab 5000 due to current lack of finances for domestic responsibilities. Crying or Very sad

So, I am asking for opinions on the best machine (budget max $1000) new or secondhand to replace the 5000. tongue

Several hours of research has shown the Garrett Infinium LS may be an option secondhand.

VLF or PI will be used in some medium mineralisation areas (hopefully) Question

Choices are limited so interested in opinions from all angles. cyclops

Thanks in advance,

FF.

You should be able to get a SD2000 or maybe a SD2100 for around $1000 if you wanted to stay with a Minelab.

There was a couple of 2000's on here for sale:

https://golddetecting.forumotion.net/t16425-for-sale-sd2000-with-4-position-frequency-mod

Other than that the Whites Goldmaster GMT is a good VLF machine that will find gold down to very small sizes & can handle mineralised ground with patience. If your only going to mild areas it would be fine.

There might be some bargain Infiniums, TDI's etc. about if/when people buy the ATX when its released? - or not?
