Ken and I have booked into one of the cabins Frid/Sat nights.  Have been saving gold coins for the raffle.  The gold coins are the closest I've come to any 'gold'.  Still no luck for me out there, but the bush is really clean of junk and the ground is nicely aerated because I dig Everything  Looking forward to catching up with everyone and maybe, just maybe there might be just a little speck for me to find to break the drought.

See you there mate, I havn't got my Landy tug any longer:(  I rolled her near Cowell on the Lincoln Highway Eyre Peninsula last month towing a furniture trailer which had a tyre blow, and found myself hanging upside down for 20 minutes in its squashed cabin before I cut my seat belt and dropped on my head:affraid: , while I waited for SES and Police to arrive..tell you about it over a beer mate..I have my car fridge full in the back of my new tug as usual...Hoo Roo

Guys & Gals I dropped of at the Laanecoorie Lakeside Caravan Park and they informed me that the Park is booking up "Fast". They have only 1 or 2 cabins left and about 6 power sites left. Still some non powered sites are available. So if you thinking of booking a power site or cabin you better do it "NOW' otherwise you will miss out.

We have been getting some great prizes donated from our sponsors. Some will go in to our raffle on the Saturday night and some for the auction on the Sunday afternoon.
Now don't forget, there is a special raffle prize for any financial member of the PMAV and, or the NAPFA. If you show us that you are financial to both or either you will get one FREE raffle ticket or two if you belong to both. It will be drawn on Sunday afternoon before the main auction. But you must be there on the day to recieve your prize. And it is not a bad prize either. You can join or up date your membership for the PMAV over the weekend to get a ticket. Not sure about the NAPFA if there will be someone excepting memberships on their behalf.

I phoned Golden last night as I WANT to ATTEND and hopefully he can put me up in his cabin, Just waiting on him to return a call with numbers who will be in the cabin.
I have never been to this before so don't know what to bring or what to expect....Suggestions please

Bring your self, detector, chair, knife, fork, spoon, Clean Jocks & Socks   Grog for the Big Fella and some for your self as well  Oh you better bring some more for the rest of the crew as well while your at it. You'll have a great time mate

I contacted the Caravan Park again today in regards to accommodation. There are no more cabins left only the 4 bed room house. It has 2 ded rooms with queen size beds and 2 bed rooms with double beds and 3 bunks in each of those last 2 rooms. Ideal if a few of you what to share in the accommodation with family's and cost. I'm sure it has it's own kitchen and bath room.
There are still about 8 powered sites only and plenty of non-powered sites.

Will be there driving from Sydney. Meet mariner 3800 at wedderburn last year. Convinced me to come along. So quit my job so now can go. Should be good. Sounds like big fella is the social hub of the weekend. Hope some yellow stuff has my name on it. See ya next week.
