Kate I stayed on top of that hill last year and after getting into Big Fella jungle joice it was "one step forward & two steps back" with a few side steps thrown in, just to get back up the hill   So I think staying at the bottom of the hill could be a better idea, at least you can roll down the hill

Its been a long while since I have been to Laanecoorie and Victoria. When I was last in Laanecoorie gold was laying everywhere along Hill and Dale road and you only needed to stop the car open the door and pick it up without taking your seatbelt off, whats it like now?

I plan to get down to the get together and meet some of the people I have known only through forum posts for years. I am looking forward to spending time on the camp chair round a fire chatting element79.

I'm only a beginner and yet to find a sizeable nugget so would appreciate some help with local detector settings and some spots to go to from some of the experienced Victorian prospectors who will be there.

I was up at at the Laanecoorie Caravan Park today and they were saying that they are getting more bookings every day now for our Gold Bash. They were also saying that on the same weekend of our bash, Maryborough has a "Spring Carnival" on at the same time and the caravan parks and other accommodation in Maryborough are almost booked out and they are getting people ringing them in regards to accommodation at the caravan park. So if you have not booked as let, you better get in FAST.
