im running a 5000 and i need some info on what settings to use around the power lines
to quiet things down ?????

Put a smaller coil on !
Or a dd in cancel
Or drop your gain down with a mono !
Or get yourself a gmt and walk right under them with no problem

Sending the detector to get fixed,
I had too after I went near power lines, cost me $120.00.
I won't do that again.
