G'day

Can anyone tell me what the story with this is. There is a very gold looking substance you can see through a translucent layer of red/brown stuff. It sets off a gpx5000.

I don't know. I'm a wet prospector but he found some quiet ground and I slowly passed it under while he gave a satisfied nod with headphones on

You have a couple choices put it in acid and see whats left, crush it ,pan it see if any gold there ,other than that i dont know .dont have enough experience to say , am sure some of the gurus will answer your question. good luck with it let us all know result please.
