New member from Darwin !!

Hi all, born and bred in Darwin and wanting to get out and find some color.

I am brand new to this, looking forward to getting a detector and getting out around Darwin and the Pine Creek area.

Hope to do a day tour in VIC to learn how to use a wand.

Welcome DRW-GLD to the forum and to this great hobby. Hopefully soon you'll get yourself a detector and then it'l all be go, go, go.
Wouldn't have thought you'd need to come all the way to Vic if it's detector lessons you're after, someone should be closer to you, but I don't know who.

Thanks for the welcome, I was looking at doing a tour in Melbourne only because I will be down that way in late November and I have always wanted to do one. Last time I was in Melbourne was April/May and it was a bit cool for a born and bred Territorian. Mick

G'day Mick yes I know what you mean it gets pretty cold down here this time of the year... Do you know where to go for a tour... There is a few that do day tours and a couple that do longer ones...

Cheers Mike54, I'm on a wait list for a tour in Ballarat (Booked out while I'm there) but I just have to check my daughters competition schedule enabling me to do a tour in Bendigo (Long drive though as I'm staying in Geelong), I'm only able to do a 1 day tour.
